One month after the arrival of version 2.1 and the Shogun Raiden, it is time for the Traveler and his companions to continue their quest. Genshin Impact patch 2.2 will be unveiled on Sunday, October 3 to present its new features. If we already know the identity of the next characters, the live should however reveal a little more about the plot.

Dear travellers,

It's announcement time! A special program about the new version of Genshin Impact will be broadcast on October 3, 2021 at 08:00 (UTC-4) on the official Twitch channel.

How to follow the live stream of patch 2.2?

A live is planned to present the next major patch of Genshin Impact. You have to wait for it for Sunday, October 3 on Twitch. However, the live presentation begins at 14:00 p.m. (French time) on the Amazon platform. A replay is expected to arrive a few hours later on YouTube, though, so latecomers can check out the update.

  • On the Twitch channel from 14 p.m.
  • On the YouTube channel from 18 p.m.

What can we expect from the next update

With patch 2.2, new characters should arrive on Genshin Impact. We expect in particular the presentation of Thomas, but the second headliner of the patch is still a mystery. It should therefore be a rerun, with an old banner highlighted. But the 2.2 update is also an opportunity for PC and mobile players who don't have a PlayStation to finally claim their Aloy. They will thus have 6 weeks to recover the character for free.
