How to activate 2FA in Fortnite?

2FA, or two-factor authentication, allows the player to increase the security of their account by using a third-party system when logging in. Currently existing in the form of a mobile application or email contact, the A2F Fortnite allows you to protect yourself against fraud and account theft attempts, while giving you access to some additional in-game functions.

If you decide to activate it on your own account, you will be rewarded with the Boogie Down emote for Fortnite's Battle Royale.

  • 10 backpack slots,
  • 1 Legendary Troll Loot Llama.

Once the two-factor authentication is activated, you must enter the code provided by the authentication method of your choice (email or application), then you can log in to your account. You will be asked to enter the two-factor authentication password the first time you log in after enabling the feature. If you're using a new device and it's been 30 days since your last login, or if you've recently deleted your browser's cookies, then you'll need to re-enter the code.

Activate 2FA, the first stage of competitions

To be able to participate in the various online competitions organized on Fortnite, you must activate the A2F. If this is not done, access to these competitions is denied to you, and you will therefore not be able to try your luck. It is also important to activate it if you want to participate in the qualifying phases for the World Cup. These should start around April, if the deadline remains the same as for the 2019 edition.
