As GTA V continues its cross-generation journey, more plans are in the works for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Thus, GTA V and GTA Online arrive from March 15, 2022 on PS5 and Xbox Series. But that's not all, because the series will continue to evolve, thanks to the next GTA title in development. However, if Rockstar confirms its existence, still no date or year to get your teeth into.
However, many rumors are circulating about the estimated release date of this next title. If many are impatiently awaiting it for the near future, it's a safe bet that the game will not see the light of day before the end of 2023, at best. In a financial report, Take Two forecast considerable advertising expenditure for the fiscal year 2024 (from April 2023 to March 2024). For many analysts, this prepares a major release for the studio, corresponding to the importance of the license. In addition, the recent announcement from Rockstar regarding the development of this new GTA may suggest that an announcement is to be expected during the year.
However nothing is officially announced yet, and the game could arrive later. With their excessive ambition, Rockstar is once again seeking to revolutionize its flagship license. And if they seem to have found a way to do it, the development is still likely to lengthen. We could thus not see the title land before 2025, marking the second part of the cycle of ninth generation consoles.
