FF7 Remake finds its sequel in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

The eco-terrorist group opposing Shinra returns for a new adventure in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Still developed and published by Square Enix, the game is scheduled for winter 2023, as a (probably temporary) PS5 exclusive.

Cloud and his friends have just left Midgard and set off in pursuit of Sephiroth. Judging that he is a greater danger than Shinra, their journey takes them across the world to discover the true intentions of this enemy. But all this will also push the mercenary to question his own existence and lift the veil on his past. The future of this world depends on them, but will they be able to counter the evil that awaits them.

This second part of FF7 Remake uses the same gameplay and game design elements as its predecessor. Likewise, it's a PlayStation 5 exclusive for launch, but could be coming to PC later. No big news then, but this adventure will not be the end yet. During his announcement, Testuya Nomura confirmed the presence of a last part in development to finalize this narrative arc. However, the goal has been to create a game that can be played and understood by anyone, whether they know the story or not.
