The best Meta team in Serie A on FIFA 23
Note that the formation used here is only used to evoke more or less the role of each card in your team. Use your usual in-game tactics. This team is created via Futbin's team builder.

Possible replacements:
So here the idea is of course to play Di Natale in BU or MOC behind Dzeko rather than playing him on the wings. Brolin will be on the wing or in MOC (in a formation with two BU). In front, the alternatives are numerous but rather mid-range with Muriel TOTW, Deulofeu TOTW, Leao TOTW, Immobile TOTW, Lozano TOTW, Shomurodov TOTW, Martinez, Ikoné RTTK, Raspadori TOTW, Chiesa or even Lukaku.
In MOC, Serie A has several interesting options. Thus, Dybala OTW, Nakata FUT Heroes, Milito FUT Heroes are viable in this position, especially since some box-to-box MCs can also be used in MOC. In the role of MC / MDC, the Italian league is quite provided with for example Tonali, Bennacer RTTK, SMS TOTW or Pogba.
In defense, the DD position is really weak at the moment, with no credible alternative to Cuadrado except for Dest OTW (following his boost). In DG, only Duarte TOTW is really playable, although again, the gap with the card listed in our team is quite large. On the other hand, DC's position is quite complete with Tomori TOTW, Jae Kim POTM, Bremer RTTK and Bonucci Rulebreakers who are Meta and playable in place of the two FUT Heroes.
With respect to a replacement for Maignan, Szczesny TOTW or Gold version will be the two most credible options.
Strengths and weaknesses of the Serie A level Meta
For now, the strengths of the Italian league are mainly in having some of the best FUT Heroes cards in FIFA 23. This ensures good links as well as cards that retain some value in the long term. . In addition, EA has offered quite a few special Meta cards since the game's launch, especially through TOTWs. Finally, it is possible to do a not too expensive Meta training, using only Gold or TOTW versions.
Nevertheless, some positions are very weak apart from the best card in the championship, especially in DG/DD. In addition, the gap between the most Meta cards and the others, is extremely high in attack (Di Natale costs more than a full team and Meta of Serie A). So, scaling the formation will not be easy if you are not trading.
Therefore, Serie A is an ideal league for slightly smaller budgets than in a Premier League or even Ligue 1 training. If the evolution is very expensive (few intermediate options), the Italian league is a good choice whatever your playing style and budget.
How to build good links?
The links here are rather straightforward as the league has a concentration of talent around a few big clubs and nations. Also, several FUT Heroes are Meta, making linking easier. It is therefore the best league at the start of the FUT season for a club base on a hybrid eleven.
