The idea is to offer you a formation made up only of the best players of the English championship, while obtaining the best eleven possible. We will therefore only select Meta cards, the strongest according to the current patch and the most effective way to play to win.

The best Premier League Meta team on FIFA 23
Note that the formation used here is only used to evoke more or less the role of each card in your team. Use your usual in-game tactics. This team is created via Futbin's team builder.
In terms of styles:
- Architect: Ronaldo, KDB
- Eye of the lynx: Salah, Haaland
- Engine: Sound
- Pillar: Walker
- Shadow: VVD, Konaté, Cancelo, Touré
- Basic or Glove: Alisson
Possible replacements:
In this formation, Son TOTW and Son TOTW will evolve in MOC, hence the Engine on Son style to improve his passing game. In addition, both have the finesse shot trait, in order to beat the most defensive tactics of your opponents. As a replacement, it is possible to go to Jay-Jay Okocha FUT Heroes, Foden RTTK, Cole RTTK, Kewell RTTK, Rodrigo Duo Dynamique but also Paqueta RTTK. Also, another option would be KDB, replacing it with pure MDC.
Indeed, here Kevin de Bruyne will play in MC box-to-box or MDC, hence the Architect style (in next-gen only) to obtain the Lengthy sprint style. This is the only weak point of our training since it is not a real MDC. The concern being that the alternatives are not numerous: Kanté, Phillips Rulebreakers, even Paqueta RTTK are all playable in MDC.
In terms of defense, Koulibaly, Thiago Silva Flashback, Varane, Akanji TOTW or Saliba TOTW are interesting Meta options in DC. In all cases, favor players with the Lengthy style, given the gain in speed granted to large builds. On the right, Walker is honestly the only real good ultra Meta option, so it's hard to replace him. Wan-Bissaka RTTK is playable even without upgrade but apart from him, Cancelo TOTW will be the only one really usable. In the same register, at the post of DG, nobody is really ultra Meta within the Premier League.
To finish with the attack, Haaland OTW and Ronaldo RB are particularly expensive but correspond to the current Meta: pivots with Lengthy. For a slightly lower budget, the Gold versions of these two cards are Meta, although again, you will have to like pivots. In a slightly different style, there are alternatives like Aubameyang RTTK, Keane FUT Heroes, Rashford POTM or Jesus OTW (with Wednesday's upgrade). Of course, Nunes OTW and Richarlison OTW will soon be able to benefit from an upgrade but in the meantime, their interest remains limited at high level.
Premier League Meta level strengths and weaknesses
For once, the strengths of the English championship are very numerous on FIFA 23, starting with the number of special cards available. Indeed, every week it seems that TOTW brings its batch of special playable Premier League versions, always adding more options. In addition, the event teams always have several players from the English league. Also, some of the best players in FIFA 23 are Premier League cards (Haaland, CR7, KDB, Walker, VVD) and these are all from the same top clubs. This therefore facilitates the work around the collective.
Nevertheless, the attractiveness of the league necessarily generates a very high demand and thus high prices. Therefore, the Premier League is complex since the cards are often 30% more expensive than in other leagues. In addition, as soon as a position is a little limited in option, players are all the more in demand and therefore expensive. This is particularly the case for MDCs, but also for BUs and DG and DD positions. As such, the league does not yet have a real alternative to Cancelo and Walker.
Therefore, the Premier League is a premium league, even on medium Meta maps, due to high prices. Although very popular, this championship is rather reserved for players who are used to trading or playing a lot, in order to be able to finance their team.
How to build good links?
Here, it will be relatively easy to link your formation via the presence of multitudes of Meta players within big clubs (Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Chelsea mainly). In addition, the nations present are (despite a few exceptions) rather large with France, Brazil, England or even Portugal, which again allows the leagues to be mixed.
Also, there are quite a few FUT Heroes playable this year, which will help a little chemistry-wise. However, a player like Son or Zaha will probably be difficult to use in a hybrid eleven.
