In order to face his father's armies across the Underworld, Zagreus must equip himself properly. But if he has a full arsenal and enjoys the help of his Olympian parents, the Prince of the Underworld can still be interested in his personal comfort. For this, he has a fishing rod that allows him to catch fish in order to exchange them for resources. But where to find the tool and the fishing spots in Hades?
Get the fishing rod
You will not be able to take advantage of the fishing spots and the adapted tool from your first game in Hades. It is mandatory to advance a little in the game, and in particular to fulfill 3 prerequisites to be able to access it. You must therefore have arrived at the Temple of the Styx at least once, and therefore have beaten the boss of the Elysium. For the rest, it is to the Foreman that it is necessary to address. The latter offers you various improvements, and you have to unlock Fountain – Tartarus and Destiny List of Minor Prophecies in the Purchase Orders tab before you see the fishing rod appear. The latter is then available at the price of a Diamond, obtained on the Hydra of Lerna.
- Before getting the fishing rod:
- Reach the Temple of the Styx
- Unlock Fountain – Tartarus
- Unlock Destiny List of Minor Prophecies
Fish and fishing spots
Once the fishing rod in your pocket, all you have to do is repeat your escapes to find fishing spots, and thus fish. Not all rooms have one, but a sound will let you know when one is present. This sound can be heard when collecting rewards from the room, or when entering the store or rooms of Eurydice and Patroclus. In addition, the wedge is particularly visible, creating a beam of bright light in the water where it is located. However, the closer you get to the exit, the lower the chance of finding fish.

Location | Luck | Rooms without a fishing spot |
Tartar | 25% | 10 |
Asphodel | 10% | 10 |
Elysium | 10% | 10 |
Styx | 10% | 10 |
Chaos | 7% | 5 |
Greece | 20% | 0 |
Fishing in Hades, however, remains a fairly difficult activity to complete, especially in terms of how it works. There are 3 rarities of fish for each location, and a tiny chance of getting the rarest ones. But you also need to have good reflexes, as the game allows no more than 0,68 seconds to reel in the line once a fish bites. However, if you want to get more rare fish, or legendaries, you have to react in less than 0,34 seconds. Luckily, all of these fish can be redeemed with the chef in the Hall of Hades Hall for various rewards.
