Over the course of his escapes, Zagreus can amass obols, the currency of the Underworld, in order to buy various things. But in Hades, the shop is run by none other than Charon, the boatman charging the dead to cross the Styx. If the relationship between the two is a little special, it is possible to face the infernal ferryman. But how do you unlock access to this secret boss and its rewards?
Start a clash against Charon
Before you can access this fight, you must start by refining your relationship with the nocher. To do this, provide it with enough Nectar until you reach 6 hearts in the relationship (i.e. 6 escape attempts) and fight your way to the surface. These prerequisites completed, you must be lucky now. With a 22% spawn rate in stores that don't directly precede an end-of-floor boss, a bag can be found behind Charon in Hades. It is by recovering the latter that the infernal nocher teleports Zagreus into Erebus in order to confront him.

This fight is quite difficult, Charon taking advantage of multiple area skills to defeat the prince. You have to play with the decor as much as possible to protect yourself from its attacks, at least until it destroys it. Staying mobile is the key to success, but beware of his oar, which he handles perfectly, and can thus quickly shoot down. At the end of this confrontation, the driver drops a Loyalty card, reducing the price of all Charon's Well effects and goods available in the various shops by 20%. As a bonus, Zagreus can keep the purse of 300 Obolus to spend them later.
