Rumors were swirling about the release of Santa Monica Studio's next title. Initially scheduled for 2020, God of War Ragnarök confirms its release for November 9, 2022. A new game has been added to the list of end-of-year releases, but which should largely reach its audience despite its PS4 and PS5 exclusivity.
This announcement is accompanied by a new cinematic, very short, revealing the atmosphere of the title. Father and son now find themselves facing a giant wolf, widely suggesting that it could be Fenrir. However, this is a CGI cutscene and therefore not representative of the final product.
After being announced for the release of the PS5, the development studio finally had to review its schedule. The COVID crisis, having affected the entire industry, has greatly delayed its arrival. Its release was therefore postponed indefinitely, but many rumors were circulating. The latest talked about a release of God of War Ragnarök for November, which ultimately turns out to be true. Sony's catalog will therefore expand with a new exclusive for the end of the year, in addition to welcoming the remake of The Last of Us Part 1 on PS5.
