The end, Fortnite event disabled the game

An event highly anticipated by the community has come to close Fortnite season 10. 6 minutes, sparks and explosions, that's all it took before the game's servers were shut down until Season 11 arrived. On top of that, Epic Games also managed to put Twitch and its own servers in trouble! And even a little those of YouTube, Mixer and Twitter…

After a major event that caused the meteorite to disappear in faults, it finally reappeared above Loot Lake to destroy the orb... With this disproportionate explosion, a black hole was created, and the servers of the game also got lost in it, preventing you from playing or launching the game until the appearance of season 11. Now, a black hole will greet players for the next few hours.

A massive network crash

In return, the event made so much noise that Epic Games once again broke records, recording nearly 6 million people watching the event live. With 1.5 million people on Twitch during the peak (and before the massive crash), and 4.3 million on YouTube, Fortnite still has a bright future ahead of it.

At this very moment, Twitch is trying, somehow, to explain what is happening, letting many theorists speak about the Fortnite event. If anyone thinks something is going to happen soon, and the game will restart shortly, many are convinced that this black hole hides something even bigger. Like for example a mini-game reserved for holders of the famous Konami Code…

If you do the Konami code, you can play a minigame while you wait.

A surprising ending

If season 10 was expected to end this Sunday, October 13 at the time of the event, the phase that followed was not planned by anyone. Without further communication from Epic Games, there is no reason to say that season 11 will not arrive in the minutes that follow... It's actually something many were talking about before, but the season 10 end date isn't Monday, October 14, the usual date for season changes.

It is therefore possible that this strange end-of-game screen actually only indicates a maintenance, hiding the arrival of Chapter 2. If this theory turns out to be correct, then we should be able to host season 11 around 22:00 or 22:30 p.m. this Sunday the 13th. Thus, communication should also resume at Epic Games, finally giving us access to the novelties of the season and the changes it will bring.

So now all we have to do is wait wisely, whether it's a few more minutes or half a day...
