Fortnite patch 10.40 has finally arrived, unveiling a new Starry Suburbs area, and reintroducing the Rebounder. In this update, a lot of new features, including Zone War, a new game mode, as well as the Crucible!

New in 10.40

• The Crucible:
  • This new game mode is a great way to get familiar with the controller settings improvements.

• Zone War:
  • A Battle Royale endgame simulation with a narrow moving area! Eliminate your opponents while avoiding the closing storm. Spawns and random inventory make each round unique.
  • Four areas are at your disposal, and you will have to fight to survive in these arenas.
    • Zonal War: Coliseum

      • Become the ultimate gladiator in this island coliseum. You'll have to build at full speed to get cover!
    • Zonal War: Desert

      • Go through a small desert village to reach the final circle. The wide choice of weapons and movement options allow for a unique style of play and very good replayability.
    • Zonal War: River
      • Created by Enigma.
      • Roll down a hill and cross a river while staying within the confines of the storm! Community stepping stones and the constant path of the storm make getting to grips with the game in just a few rounds.
    • Zone War: Vortex
      • Created by Zeroyahero.
      • This island approaches Zone Warfare from a new angle with its mountainous terrain. Be careful not to be surprised by changes in altitude!

• Double EXP Weekend! This weekend, your achievements are worth twice as much. From Friday, September 27 at 15:30 p.m. to Monday, September 15 at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. (CET), each playthrough will earn you double experience points.
• Matchmaking :
  • Main modes feature a new and improved matchmaking system. Players are now more likely to face opponents of a similar level to themselves.
  • The level of your opponents increases according to your progress.
  • This change will be implemented gradually on all main modes and in all regions.
