October has only just begun, but preparations for the horror party are already in full swing. On this occasion, the Nightmares are back on Fortnite in 2021 to offer you horrific outfits, modes and short films. Hold on tight because this year the festivities will last 3 weeks and won't let you rest.
Dates of Nightmares 2021
Nightmares are back in Fortnite, and for the whole month of October. The festivities begin on October 5 with the arrival in stores of the first cosmetics of the event. This all ends as early as November 1, when Horror Month comes to an end. But in the meantime, there are plenty of things planned for players throughout this month.

Play as monsters and demons in battle
This year, cosmetics are the focus of Fortnite Nightmares. 3 of them are licensed from Universal Pictures, while the others are directly inspired by the community or designed by Epic Games. It will thus be possible to find the Frankenstein's Monster, the Mummy and a mystery skin for Universal.

Cubes are flailing for Fortnite 2021 Nightmares
Since their return, the cubes have slowly made progress on the island of survivors. But with the arrival of Nightmares 2021 on Fortnite, their action plan will accelerate. Collect a Demon Double Crossbow and counter the current invasion during your games. Complete quest objectives at the same time to unlock unique ghostly rewards. And if that's not enough for you, a temporary game mode will also return in the coming weeks.
The Nightmare Courts
Since their introduction, shorts have been commonplace in Fortnite, and they're back for Halloween. This time around, a special cinema opens in-game, allowing you to enjoy them in any order you like. These animated shorts are intended to scare you, and will bring the festivities to a close. It is therefore necessary to wait for the last days of the event to be able to take advantage of it.
