FIFA 22 best forwards lists, Meta cards for FUT

FIFA 22 best forwards lists, Meta cards for FUT

Here we list the best attackers and Meta cards for FIFA 22 FUT mode. Be careful because the idea is to list you the best cards, whatever the price, to evolve at the best level in the game of football. These cards are Meta, understand the best in the game. Note that special cards (TOTW, POTM etc) will be present here.

Update : Updated from Tuesday, August 2 at 18:00 p.m. The arrival of the FUTTIES Team 2 cards has been taken into account.

The only exception is Icon cards which will have their own list of best cards for FIFA 22.

You can find our lists of Meta cards on FUT:

  • FIFA 22 Best Meta Goalkeeper List.
  • FIFA 22 Best Meta Defenders List.
  • List of best FIFA 22 Meta midfields.

List of best strikers for FUT on FIFA 22

Here we list complete cards, Meta, which correspond to the needs of players at the highest level. Note that we separate the attackers on the wings, attacking midfielders and scorers. Unlike milueux, we will classify players by their natural position (on their map) to then specify what is their best position in play.

The best players in the position of right attacker

A critical position on FUT this year, midfielders or right forwards are quite limited at the top level of the Meta. So even in a relatively low market, the best options are particularly expensive.

Antonio Di Natale FUT Heroes Métamorphosés, Serie A

We're not going to cut corners, Di Natale is simply incredible. Agile, fast, efficient in front of goal, the Italian player is capable of doing everything well in the box or on the wings. It's simple, its only limit lies in its small size, which makes it not very effective in aerial play. However, its stats and physique make it a very versatile card and an ideal choice to use in duos with a stronger BU, CR7 or R9 style. Besides, we love him in MOC since his ranged shots are simply amazing. In short, we loved its basic version, we really loved its Captains version but this Metamorphosed will remain in our hearts for a long time to come…

Recommended Style: Basic

Best position: Probably MOC, but playable in ST and AD

Lionel Messi TOTY/TOTS, PSG, Ligue 1

Generally Meta but nothing more, Messi is back close to the top on FIFA 22 given the current Meta. Agile, excellent passer, very good shooter especially from distance, Messi is the prototype MOC this year. Despite only having 4-4 all-stars, Messi is simply amazing in his Team of the Year version, mainly thanks to the boost to his physique. This now allows him to play effectively in ST but we consider that he remains better in MOC. Note that its TOTS version is very close in terms of stats and efficiency, while its OTW and MOTM remain playable.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Basic

Best position: MOC or MD

Garreth Bale FDE, Real Madrid, La Liga

While we've seen good and bad things about FDE, Garreth Bale's card is really special. With almost flat out stats, 5-4 in all-stars, off-foot, a unique in-game physique and incredible strength, the veteran is quite simply one of the best forwards in FIFA 22. To the point that we've long hesitated to put him ahead of Messi. In the end, the difference is mainly in the agility of Bale who is not always there, which makes him a hybrid BU between a real pivot and an agile scorer. However, with excellent links and good versatility (playable BU, MOC and AD), Bale is clearly ultra Meta.

Recommended Style: Paver or Engine

Best position: BU or MOC

Timo Werner Metamorphosed, Chelsea, Premier League

After several months without a special Chelsea card due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the sale of the London club allowed the return of this type of card. By the way, what a card! Timo Werner Metamorphosed immediately established himself as an efficient and consistent player in front of goal. With a unique physique in play, make him a bit more physical than he is, Werner is truly an amazing BU. If we regret the lack of line for his price, Timo Werner signs a flamboyant return and establishes himself as one of the best attackers in FIFA 22 at the start of the summer.

Recommended Style: Finisher, Gunner or Motor

Best position: BU

Mohammed Salah TOTS, Liverpool, Premier League

As we had anticipated in October, given the performance of Mo Salah at the start of the season, we had to expect an avalanche of special cards on FIFA 22. Thus, the arrival of a TOTS is clearly not not surprising. The latter comes to eliminate the main weakness of Salah on FIFA 22: his lack of stars in weak foot. Now 4-4, the Egyptian is truly an incredible weapon on FUT, playable in ST, MOC or on the wing. With an almost perfect kit (great stats, 4-4, Meta traits and good in-game physicality), Salah is very complete and one of our favorite cards this season yet. Note that its POTM, Headliners and TOTY MH versions are still playable during this TOTS period.

Recommended Style: Architect, Gunner or even Eagle Eye

Best position: BU, AD or MOC

Felipe Anderson Metamorphosed, Napoli, Serie A

Which map ! After Rodrygo, EA decided to release an amazing new card to us at the AD post via DCE. Fast, agile, a good shooter but also correct in defense and physicality, Anderson is extremely complete. With a unique physique in play, making him a bit more powerful than his stats would suggest, Felipe Anderson is truly an excellent player both on the wing and in the centre. Note that its defensive level allows it to be used in MC which rises while we loved it in MOC and BU. It is this versatility that explains why we prefer him to Rodrygo Showdown.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: MOC, BU, MC (going up) and AD

James Maddison Metamorphosed, Leicester, Premier League

We're going to be honest, we were surprised at first and then a bit on the defensive playing with Maddison. The English player initially proved to be very agile and pleasant to use, immediately making him a card that we enjoy using. Although its stats are not particularly organized (not enough speed, finishing and reaction), Maddion Polymorphed remains a very complete card with even a little defense in order to potentially use it as an MC which rises on some actions. However, his lack of reaction was felt in a second session, which limits us a little in his ranking.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Cannoneer

Best Position: MOC

Federico Chiesa FUTTIES, Juventus, Serie A

From its Gold version, we loved Chiesa on FUT this year. Agile, fast, the Italian player quickly established himself as a good starter and then an excellent substitute in our training. Here, his FUTTIES card remains in line with his Gold, TOTGS and TOTY MH: an agile and skilful attacker, who will make the difference in small spaces. If the 4-5 in stars surprised some, who precisely prefer a 5-4 to take advantage of the agility of the card (due to a small physique), its 5 stars of weak foot allow a use on the right as on the left. It should be noted however that he is probably better on the wings, or in BU which overflows in the surface.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: AD, AG or even BU

Rodrygo Showdown, Real Madrid, La Liga

The choice was quite difficult between Salah TOTS and Rodrygo Show for second place in this ranking but we ended up preferring the versatility of the Egyptian. Indeed, Rodrygo is an incredible player, capable of playing on the wing or more in the center in OMC or even BU due to his 5-4 in stars and his excellent stats. Extremely agile, the latter is a real pleasure on the ball. However, his finesse shots will be less good than those of Salah, especially since he lacks a bit of strength to really evolve in BU.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: AD, MOC or even BU

Marco Reus Metamorphosed, Borussia Dortmund, Bundesliga

While we usually love Reus on FIFA (and in real life), it seems EA has cast a spell on his card since the FUT Birthday version of FIFA 21. So, we had a hard time reviewing Reus Shapeshifted so irregular has this been for us. In some matches, his finesse was automatic while his ball touches were light, making him a real monster. Conversely, other matches were chaotic with notably more bars hit than goals scored. This impression is very similar to our feedback on the FUT Captain version that we were able to test a few months ago... So it's very simple, if you liked his FUT Captain version, go for it, because the Metamorphosed is clearly a beautiful improvement of the previous one.

Recommended Style: Basic or Eagle Eye

Best position: MOC or even BU

Lucas Fantasy FUT, Tottenham, Premier League

One of our favorite cards on FIFA, Lucas Moura got a special second card (after a great WW version in December) with an upgradable card here. Although for some 5-5 stars is now a minimum for a Meta card, we consider players with custom physiques like Lucas still deserve a place in this closed circle of the best strikers in FIFA 22. Extremely agile, precise and fluid, the Brazilian player is a pleasure to use. However, be careful, because its lack of strength and trait are still important elements to take into account given its price.

Recommended Style: Vista or Cannonier

Best Position: MOC

Ferran Torres FUTTIES, FC Barcelona, La Liga

One of the best striker cards in FIFA 22 via its Future Stars version, Ferran Torres therefore got a FUTTIES due to the popularity of his AD/BU combo. As usual with Torres, his size is an advantage but also a slight disadvantage. Thus, he will be able to win aerial duels and win in the box. However, we didn't appreciate his touch on the ball too much (even with Canonnier) despite his physical appearance. Therefore, as a player on the wings, he is a solid card but his potential in BU is a little limited if you like fluidity. So we have a good option there without being in something ultra meta.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: BU or AD

Angel Di Maria FDE, PSG, Ligue 1

We're going to be very frank, we've never managed to play well with a Di Maria card on FIFA. Even his last two TOTS failed to change our minds. From then on, when this DCE landed, we were a bit on the defensive. It must be said that the 3 stars of weak foot are clearly not to our taste in June. However, the rest of the card is clearly Meta, including its unique physics (a bit strange at times). Accurate from a distance and a good passer in the box, Di Maria FDE is a solid attacking card although for his price, a MOTM version of Messi seems more complete to us.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Cannoneer

Best position: BU, AD or MOC

Diego Milito FUT Heroes Metamorphosed, Serie A

While we really liked its Captain version, this Diego Milito SS really left us with mixed feelings. While he is very hard to stop at times due to having quite incredible strength for an attacker, Milito has consistently lacked the agility to truly be a Meta card. So, unless you're used to very powerful players, the Argentinian will be a relatively unattractive option. Note that we greatly prefer the version in MOC position, since the style makes it possible to compensate for differences in stats in a more uniform way.

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU or MOC

Jadon Sancho FUT Birthday, Manchester United, Premier League

What a card for Sancho! If his Gold version was disappointing at the start of the season, here we find Sancho from FIFA 21's TOTS. Although he still lacks speed, his agility is very pleasant, especially since with 5-5 stars, he is able to evolve in MOC, BU or on the wings, both left and right. A very nice card but which lacks a bit of punch on his shots to really compete with a Salah Vedette on the BU position.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Vista

Best position: MOC or on the wings

Joe Cole Captain FUT Heroes, Premier League

A bit like a Lucas Moura, Joe Cole is mainly limited by his physique and his lack of strength. Extremely agile and fast, the English player is a joy to use the ball on the wing. However, his lack of physicality (in play and in strength) has the effect of reducing his interest since he will not really be able to occupy a BU position. Thus, Cole is excellent but his versatility is reduced compared to other DMs of the same price.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Cannonier

Best position: AD or MOC

Quaresma FUT Birthday, Guimaraes, Liga NOS

As often, “minor” league DCEs are underestimated by the majority of players, however this is usually where the best cards are found. To sum up, Quaresma would surely be ahead of Sancho if he was in a major league as we enjoyed playing with him. Agile (despite a less than ideal physique), mobile and with a really impressive strike (with his exterior line of the foot), the Portuguese player looks a bit like a Salah with the ball to us.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Vista

Best position: MOC or on the wings

Benjamin Bourigeaud TOTS, Rennes, Ligue 1

Be careful here since Bourigeaud is listed among the Right Attackers but the latter is to play in a very different position. The Rennes player is, thanks to his defense and physical stats, an excellent MDC, DD or even MC box-to-box like a Schweinsteiger Moments. It must be said that Bourigeaud is very complete having 4-4 in stars, a high/high yield and almost all the stats at 90+. Therefore, it is the ideal card if you have several options in central position or want to develop a player like Alves or Cancelo in attack.

Recommended Style: Anchor (Defensive) or Eagle Eye

Best position: MDC, MC, DD or AD

Gelson Martins FUT Fantasy, AS Monaco, Ligue 1

After a Big Recruits card via DCE, Gelson Martins is back with a rather intriguing FUT Fantasy version. So the speed, agility, and stamina combo is still there, as is his 5-3 star rating. If the good shooting stats (with Vista) and especially the outer line of the foot reduce the impact of the 3 stars of weak foot, our feeling on the map is quite strange. Although mobile and very agile, the feeling of the ball at the foot is different from a Quaresma or a Salah. In addition, the lack of physics pushes its use on the wings, reducing its interest a little on very Meta formations. From then on, we are a little on our hunger despite a card that is generally very nice to use.

Recommended Style: Vista or Cannonier

Best position: AD or BU

Moussa Diaby TOTS, Leverkusen, Bundesliga

The ideal super-substitute! If Diaby was already a not too expensive card interesting to replace (via his TOTW), the French player obtained an excellent boost with in particular a +2 in weak foot. Thus, with great speed and agility, Diaby is the ideal player to bring in during the match to boost your game. However, if you are looking to use him as a starter, the Frenchman lacks a bit of physicality to be Meta in BU.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer or Maestro

Best position: AD or even BU

Yannick Carrasco Metamorphosed, Atlético Madrid, La Liga

If you have already used Carrasco on FIFA you will quickly understand our problem with this card: the feeling of rigidity of Carrasco on the ball. Even with Motor or Finisher, the Belgian player lacks mobility due to his size and his physique in play. Therefore, Carrasco Metamorphosed did not really shine in BU for us but rather on the wing. If his 5 stars from weak foot will allow him to evolve as easily on the right as on the left, we consider that there are better options in this position, via players like Rodrygo, Anderson, Messi or Salah…

Recommended Style: Engine or Basic

Best position: RA

Junya Ito TOTS, Genk, Pro League

Probably too high placed for some, Junya Ito is for us an excellent MD/AD and super-sub on FIFA 22. Agile, fast but physical enough for the current Meta, Ito is much more than a generic TOTS card. Indeed, the Japanese player has almost everything you need in a striker. While his lack of trait and his nation will limit his ties, Ito TOTS is clearly a great option from the bench, including in a multi-million-credit roster.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer or Maestro

Best Position: Super Sub

Edin Visca TOTS, Trabzonspor, Super League

A regular at the "super-replacement" label for several editions of FIFA, Edin Visca has therefore once again obtained a TOTS version. Extremely agile with 99 in agility and an ideal physique in play, Visca is very pleasant on the ball for those who like to dribble with the left stick. However, its main limitation lies in its links to a nation and a league limited in Meta options. Thus, for many it will be an excellent luxury replacement.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer or Maestro

Best Position: Super Sub

Honorable mentions : Riyad Mahrez RTTF (Premier League), Antony TOTS (Eredivisie), Domenico Berardi TOTS (Serie A), St Juste MĂ©tamorphosĂ©s (Bundesliga), Rick Karsdorp Show (Serie A), Rafa TOTS (Liga NOS), Pedro Fantasy FUT (Series A), Noni Madueke Fantasy FUT (Eredivisie), Harry Wilson TOTS (EFL 2), Lars Ricken FUT Heroes MĂ©tamorphosĂ©s (Bundesliga), Strefezza TOTS (Calcio B), Pablo Sarabia TOTS (Liga NOS), Federico Chiesa TOTGS (Serie A) , Raheem Sterling WW (Premier League), Dejan Kulusevski TOTS (Premier League), Anthony Knockaert Objectifs (Eredivisie), Khaled Narey TOTS (Bundesliga 2), Carlos Vela TOTS (MLS), Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ© RB (La Liga), Joaquin FUT Capitaines (La Liga), Serge Gnabry TOTS (Bundesliga), Suso Show (La Liga), Otavio TOTS (Liga NOS), Carlos Junior TOTS (MBS), Jamie Leweling FS (Bundesliga), Silas FUT Birthday (Bundesliga), Erik Lamela FUT Birthday (La Liga), Jeremy Doku FUT Birthday (Ligue 1), Samuel Chukwueze Futures Stars (La Liga), Hirving Lozano RTTF (Serie A), Anderson Plata TOTGS (Conmebol), Daniele Verde TOTY Moments (Serie A), Jeremie Frimpong Futures Stars (Bundesliga), Raheem Sterling WW (Premier League), Johnny Russel TOTS (MLS), David Neres Fondation (Eredivisie), Leroy SanĂ© RTTK ou TOTGS (Bundesliga), Matteo Politano RTTK (Serie A), Trincao Futures Stars (Premier League), Marcus Tavernier Showdown (EFL), Angel Di Maria Adidas Numbersup (Ligue 1) Jesus Corona Rulebreakers (Liga NOS), Joe Cole FUT Heroes (Premier League), Dejan Kulusevski Rulebreakers (Serie A), KrĂ©pin Diatta RTTK (Ligue 1 ), Moussa Diaby TOTW 3 (Bundesliga).

The best left attacking players in FIFA 22

An always well endowed position on FUT, left midfielders or attackers are usually very numerous even at the top of the Meta and FIFA 22 is no exception.

Cristiano Ronaldo Metamorphosed, Man United, Premier League

Take Ronaldo's TOTS card, add an Engine style to it, and you'll get the Portuguese player's Shapeshifting card, in a sense. Faster, more agile and more complete than the TOTS or the TOTY, Cristiano Ronaldo Metamorphoses is quite simply the ultimate weapon of FIFA 22 when it is released. In addition, his unique physics more than compensate for the 4 stars of weak foot (let's say a 4.75) while his animations make him a real monster if you master your dribbles. Plus, if the position is potentially trickier to manage, the strong link with Cancelo TOTS easily makes it much easier to tie him up. Note, however, a slight tendency (noted by a lot of players) to shift a little to the left, as if the position of the card was felt in play... Nothing serious but remember to assign it the tactic "stay axial" .

CR7's Metamorphosed card.

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU

Franck Ribery Metamorphoses, Salernitana, Serie A

Which map ! Like almost every year, EA gave us a special card from hell with this time, a Metamorphosed! Fast, agile (perfect physics in play), good finisher, free kick taker, 5-5 in stars, outside of the foot and relatively powerful (with the Lynx Eye style), Ribery knows how to do everything, making him the one of the very best strikers in FIFA 22. As much to say right away, we hesitated to place him above Ronaldo, since the French player will be a bonus, effective with almost all styles of play. Note that given his price, we recommend playing it in BU but it will be able to evolve in AG and MOC in god squads.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU but excellent in AG and MOC

Abedi Pelé FUT Transformed Heroes, Bundesliga

So let's be very clear, if this card had been in Ligue 1, Pelé would be one of the most wanted strikers on FIFA 22. So, although the Bundesliga has quite a few options, especially with Davies TOTS for the link in a 4-5-1 (and thus maintain the collective at 10), this choice of league somewhat limits its use and therefore its interest. But this situation will benefit German league players who can enjoy an Ultra Meta card for a third of the price of the Ribery SS card. We only regret his slightly average physique in play, although his stats make up for it quite a bit.

Recommended Style: Vista

Best position: BU but excellent in AG and MOC

Neymar Jr TOTS, PSG, Ligue 1

Well what about Neymar Jr? At the start of the game, Neymar Jr Or was a bit of a weird card, unwieldy and not very effective in front of goal. Before the arrival of his Flashback, the game seems to have evolved in a favorable way to the Brazilian player, giving him a whole new dimension. There, his TOTS is clearly in a whole different category, making him one of the very best forwards in FIFA 22. to the left stick. Note that we consider that the PSG player is better in BU, in order to take advantage of his 5-5 in the box.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU or MOC

Vinicius Jr TOTS, Real Madrid, La Liga

We had anticipated it from our first version of this guide in October, Vinicius Jr was to get a plethora of special cards this year! After our prediction, the Real player added a TOTS to his long list of special cards, after two TOTWs, a TOTGS, a POTM and a Vedette. If his strengths are still there (speed, 5-4 stars, agility and ideal physical play), the Brazilian is now physical in addition to improving his dribbling. Thus, Vinicius Jr is one of the best strikers in FIFA 22 as he is complete and pleasant to play. However, we slightly prefer Neymar Jr TOTS because of the personalized animations and physique he has.

Recommended Style: Gunner

Best position: BU, AG or even MOC

Sadio Mané TOTS, Liverpool, Premier League

If his RTTF version is already extremely strong, Sadio Mané's TOTS card makes the Liverpool player one of the very best strikers in FIFA 22. With a star boost (5-4 now) and offensive stats almost at the max ( with Canonnier), Mané is the perfect mix of speed, precision in front of goal and power. It only lacks some good traits to truly make it the ultimate card. Note that we strongly recommend that you play him in BU, unless you have a CR7 TOTS / Mbappé TOTY duo, since moving him on the wing will be a bit of a waste given his stats.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: BU

Luis Diaz FUTTIES, Liverpool, Premier League

Diaz FUTTIES less good than Mané TOTS? Yes, we clearly think so, since after using both in rotation, Diaz's rather special physique (even if ideal on paper) makes him less easy to use than Mané. However, the Colombian has undeniable assets with 4-5 stars, a good game at the head and complete stats. Thus, it will be effective in BU as well as on the wings, allowing it to be a very versatile option. Note that its lack of balance seems much more important than a simple 94, even pushing us to use Finisher to test.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer or Finisher

Best position: BU

Marcus Rashford Fantasy FUT, Manchester United, Premier League

So, we're going to be very frank: yes Rashford's stats are absolutely stupid for a card available mid-March and we wonder what EA has in store for us in the weeks to come. With stats of a TOTS level card (and a possible triple upgrade), Rashford is clearly one of the best strikers in FIFA 22. Besides the stats, the young Brit has a 5-4 all-star, a unique in-game physical and excellent links. However, at this price, we would have liked Meta features, especially on the outside of the foot.

Recommended Style: Finisher

Best position: BU or MD

Lorenzo Insigne FDE, Naples, Serie A

Badge on FIFA, either you love it or you don't, there is no in between. Our positioning here tries to find a happy medium in this situation: Insigne FDE is an excellent AG, one of the best attackers on FIFA 22 at the moment, but his lack of physicality will disturb a good part of the players. Thus, even with Gunner, Insigne will suffer from his small stature in the hands of players not used to playing with him. Conversely, if you like Badge or cards of the style, be careful because here, it's really the ultimate version of the latter with excellent strikes but above all, responsiveness on the left stick and dribbling without comparison (Messi maybe).

Recommended Style: Cannoneer or Eagle Eye

Best position: AG, MOC or even BU (by replacing)

Kinglsey Coman FUTTIES, Bayern Munich, Bundesliga

One of the most frustrating maps for us to test in recent weeks, Kingsley Coman FUTTIES is a real mystery. During the first evening of use, the latter scored some of our finest finesse goals on his bad foot, making him a formidable weapon in OMC and BU. Subsequently, he missed open shots in front of the cage, notably with three posts in the same half on greens and white timed… Thus, the French player was very irregular despite excellent stats and a 5-4 in stars quite ideal. Note a habit of really taking the corridors in his calls, proof that his AI really considers him an AG. Powerful, fast and complete, he is also an ideal super-sub, which has distinguished himself a lot in our team since. In short, the type of card that we love and hate at the same time.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: AG or BU or even Super-sub

Jamie Vardy Metamorphosed, Leicester, Premier League

After a very solid RTTF version (with all the boosts), Jamie Vardy is back via the Metamorphosed event. As often with Vardy, you will have a very good BU with a rather unique physique (powerful but not too much). With 4-5 in stars and excellent offensive stats, Jamie Vardy turns into a super BU. Although his physique limits his agility and responsiveness (even with Engine or Gunner), we enjoyed playing with Metamorphosed Jamie Vardy since the English player is really strong in positioning and finishing.

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU

Rafael Leao TOTS, Milan AC, Serie A

We were surprised to see Leao with such a big card following his 2021-22 season (a very solid player but not a superstar either, he has a better rating than a KDB for example) and in the game, the latter was also surprising. If its Stars version is frustrating due to a lack of balance, this TOTS has little to do. Powerful and fast, Leao is not really a wing player but rather a BU. Indeed, his agility is not as good as one might think, in particular due to a rather less than optimal in-game physique. Therefore, given its price, we are not really convinced by it, although it could be very efficient in the hands of a player who is used to slightly physical cards.

Recommended Style: Paver or Vista

Best position: BU

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, FUT Heroes Makeover, Premier League

Overall, this DCE on OGS was clearly a disappointment since at the level of the card (97 anyway), we expected much better. However, this AG version of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has some strong points: good stats (if using the Engine style), good strength allowing him to play in BU and a more than correct finish without a shooting style. Thus, we are there on a versatile map, playable both in BU and on the wings. We will however regret the 4-4 in stars and the lack of line.

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU or AG

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Metamorphoses, FC Barcelona, La Liga

Like a Sound or a Badge, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also limited by his unique physique which will not please everyone. However, those who like it will love this card: powerful, fast, agile and efficient in front of goal, the FC Barcelona player is a very good BU in this version. But as is often the case in our articles, it's its versatility that we appreciate since with the finesse shots and outside of the foot, 5 stars for weak footing, it is also playable in MOC or even on the wing if necessary.

Recommended Style: Finisher

Best position: BU

Heung Min Son TOTS, Tottenham, Premier League

Despite a lack of balance on his card, Son has been one of the very best attackers in the game since the launch of FIFA 22. This is explained by his 5-4 in stars, his traits (outside of the foot, finesse shot and flair) but above all by his unique physique which makes him a more powerful player than he seems. Thus, Son is playable in BU but also in MOC and on the wings. The TOTS version does not change this done, both in terms of its strengths and weaknesses (a card that lacks a bit of agility and seems rigid in play). Note that if Son has long been limited by his links via the lack of meta players within Spurs, the presence of a few cards including Alli Flashback, Reguilion Adidas and Kane TOTS have increased the interest of the Korean player.

Recommended Style: Motor or Eagle Eye

Best position: BU, AG or even MOC

Gabriel Martinelli Fantasy FUT, Arsenal, Premier League

Our feeling for this card has simply made it our new favorite. On paper, we find everything a FIFA player wants for a card: an ideal physique in play, 4-4 in stars (we would have liked 5-4 but good), shooting finesse and outside of the foot in line and nearly perfect stats. What we appreciate about him is also his ease of use since his level of strength is relatively high, which will help more beginner players. In addition, it allows him to evolve on somewhat hybrid formations, potentially in MC (high/high yield works well here).

Recommended Style: Cannoneer, Maestro

Best position: BU or AG (playable in MOC/MC)

Amine Gouiri TOTS, OGC Nice, Ligue 1

Already having a very interesting FS card, Amine Gouiri has entered another category with this TOTS version. What can we say about this card except that it has everything to be very Meta: the three best offensive traits, 5-4 stars and very good stats. However, there are several ways to play and some will find Gouiri a bit rigid at times. Thus, the latter may require a different style than Eagle Eye if you need to improve its fluidity a bit. In any case, it is one of the best attacking cards in FIFA 22 at its release with the added bonus of excellent links.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Cannonier

Best position: AG or BU or even MOC

Freddie Ljungberg Captains FUT Heroes, Premier League

We expected so much from this card that we were disappointed... It's quite clear but seeing the boost level of this new FUT Heroes version, we hoped to have found there the new best MG of FIFA 22. With 4-5 in stars , incredible stats, an ideal physique in play and the exterior line of the foot, everything seemed to come together to have an exceptional BU. In fact, Ljungberg was not bad, far from it (1.5 G / A per game in rivals) but we were hoping for more efficiency in front of goal. In the end, it made us think of a Jota Adidas (a good thing) but for twice the price…

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye

Best position: AG, BU, MOC

Hany Mukhtar TOTS, Nashville, MLS

A much-loved player in Silver Star form last year, Mukhtar also earned a solid MOC card via an MLS league DCE. Thus, we were eager to be able to test it in TOTS version. Although a bit generic, Mukhtar excelled in both passing and shooting from distance, making him a good option on the wing as well as in STR and MOC. Although his league limits his links, the nation will make it easier to use him. A cheap card but very interesting because versatile, we recommend without problem.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU, MOC or AG

Ansu Fati Moments TOTS, FC Barcelona, La Liga

Injured a good part of the season in real life, Fati remains a very popular card on FIFA with many special versions for a few editions. The young Spaniard was offered as a goal and his card reminded us of his FIFA 21 Future Stars. Although he has many qualities, there are however some weak points that are difficult to correct. Thus, his stats are quite poorly balanced with a lack of responsiveness to the ball, strength but also offensive positioning. Therefore, you will have to make a choice in your style to know which element bothers you the most. Other than that, Fati is a very nice map to use with great links.

FIFA 22's Best AT Forwards

AT Attackers are quite rare this year in the game, but there are a few pearls. Thus, our selection presents three players who should regularly obtain special cards, enough to encourage you to learn to play with them now.

Lionel Messi Metamorphosed, PSG, Ligue 1

Honestly, we consider Messi to be very strong (in special version) on FIFA 22 but his price is really too high compared to what he brings. If we know that the big football stars generally sell a little higher, the PSG player is really a cut above on FIFA 22. However, if we find his price unjustified, Lionel Messi Metamorphosed is incredible in MOC. With 5-4 stars (finally), the latter is really ultra meta. On the other hand, his physique (both in stats and in play) remains a little weak to really play in BU, which somewhat limits his interest in our eyes.

Lionel Messi's Metamorphosed card.

Recommended Style: Basic

Best Position: MOC

Karim Benzema TOTS, Real Madrid, La Liga

Our relationship with Benzema on FIFA is quite simple: every year we wait for his TOTS or TOTY version in order to really be able to play with him. Generally too slow and heavy for our liking (except his Flashback), Benzema finally reveals himself with this incredible TOTS card. 4-5 in stars, stats almost at the bottom and a player who overall is already very complete in all aspects of the game, including finesse shots and outside of the foot. So we have the best striker (AT position) in FIFA 22 and one of the very best BUs in the game. Hoping that his Gold card on FIFA 23 is a little closer to the current player...

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU

Paulo Dybala TOTS, Juventus, Serie A

After months of waiting for a special card, Paulo Dybala finally has two excellent cards in quick succession. If the FUT Birthday is 4-5 in stars (still playable), this TOTS has a potentially more interesting 5-4 in MOC. In addition, this team of the season card is much more physical than the FB, but above all much more reactive with the ball at the foot. So, Dybala is one of those extremely nice cards to use if you play left stick a lot. With good links (club, league and nation) and incredible stats, Dybala is clearly one of the most Meta players of this TOTS period.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: MOC or BU

Adama Traore Metamorphoses, FC Barcelona, La Liga

One of the big surprises of the week (in addition to having him on our first pack of the evening) from Team 2 Metamorphosed is none other than Adama Traoré. Appreciated (and hated) for his speed, the Spaniard is strangely agile and responsive in this new version. Physical and fast, he becomes an excellent player on the wing even without improving his reactivity score. Thus, he is playable on the wings but also in BU, a real surprise since generally, Traoré is too rigid to really make a difference in the box. In addition, his positioning is generally good, with good deep calls… A real pleasure.

Recommended Style: Finisher (in ST), Engine (in AG) or Gunner

Best position: AG or BU

Leroy Sané Metamorphosed, Bayern Munich, Bundesliga

Sané SS is a very solid map that gives an extra offensive option to anyone playing in the German league. With excellent stats and a 5-4 all-star, the Bayern player is a very good MOC although a bit generic. Thus, without Finisher or Gunner, the latter sometimes seems a little rigid to us on his first touch of the ball. Besides, the lack of stroke is also a disappointment. This limits his interest beyond the Bundesliga where it will be easier to find better options.

Recommended Style: Finisher

Best Position: MOC

Joao Felix ALL, Atlético Madrid, La Liga

In TOTS version like Adidas, Joao Felix is one of the very best strikers in FIFA 22. The young Portuguese player is very complete with 5-4 in stars, the outside line of the foot and a unique physique in play. Playable in MOC but also in BU, the latter however lacks some elements to really be in the elite of FUT: an average/average yield and a lack of balance limit its potential. Nevertheless, Felix TOTS is a very cool card to use due to its versatility. Also note the excellent links via nation, club and league.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best Position: MOC

Roberto Firmino FUT Birthday, Liverpool, Premier League

We will be very clear, Firmino is playable everywhere on the field with the exception of DC (and still). With a high/high yield, 5-5 stars and comprehensive stats, the Brazilian is clearly a Swiss army knife in FIFA. In our opinion, his best position is MC/MOC if you have good Meta attackers to take advantage of his passing but also his ability to shoot from a distance.

Recommended Style: Shadow (in MC), Hunter (in ST)

Best position: MC, MOC, BU… Everywhere!

Metamorphosed Silas, Stuttgart, Bundesliga

Adored by the FUT community, Silas gets his second special card of the season. With 5-5 stars and excellent stats, one would think that the Stuttgart striker is a formidable weapon in play. However, his size limits his agility, which makes him an unsavory option at very high level. On the other hand, its strength may allow less experienced players to make a difference in a duel.

Recommended Style: Gunner or Engine

Best position: BU

Henrikh Mkhitaryan FUT Birthday, Rome, Serie A

Which map ! Mkhitaryan's DCE is really a nice surprise since in addition to the star buff (5-5 now), the AS Roma player has really seen his stats improve, making an excellent BU / MOC. It must be said that MKH has always been a nice card to play on FIFA, even in its Gold versions at the start of the season. Note, however, finesse shots not as good as we would have thought given his stats. However, his dribbling is really very good, even with a somewhat average physique. Thus, the main limit here lies in the link aspect: the Armenian nation is necessarily a weakness, although Roma have recently obtained some good special cards.

Recommended Style: Hunter or Eagle Eye

Best position: BU, MOC

Diogo Jota TOTS, Liverpool, Premier League

A slight disappointment is how Diogo Jota's TOTS version left us feeling after using him for an entire FUT Champ weekend. Although very complete (via good stats and a 4-5 in stars), Jota remains a notch below the ulta Meta cards now available via the different teams of the season. What bothers us the most about him is his lack of responsiveness, despite his excellent dribbling stats. We are therefore on a very correct and playable option, but which in fact leaves us with a less positive memory than during the second boost of his Adidas card a few weeks ago.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU

Ryan Kent Showdown, Rangers, SPFL

So might as well say it right away: yes we were wrong! Seeing Kent land in DCE with an average physique in play, we thought the absolutely amazing side of the card in years past had been lost. However in play, the English player continues to be both fast and ultra agile, making him the ideal super-replacement in attack. With 4-5 stars and great stats, he just lacks a bit of strength to make him a cut-price Eusebio of sorts. Note however, a significant price for a DCE of a Scottish league card…

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye, Gunner or even Hunter (from bench only)

Best Position: Super Sub

Gerard Deulofeu ALL, Udinese, Serie A

Like every year, Deulofeu got a rather interesting special card on FIFA. Here, the Spanish player is the prototype of the current generic attacker: 5-4 in stars, good stats everywhere without major weaknesses but an average physique and no good trait. So, as often, Deulofeu will be a matter of taste and habit. Without being a bad card, you shouldn't remember him for long on FIFA 22.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU

Anderson Talisca TOTS, Al Nassr, MBS

A cursed card for us both in its OTW and TOTS versions, Talisca is honestly not a bad card but a player with whom we have a lot of trouble. On paper, this one has an almost unique physique (only Isak has a similar physique in-game) and good agility, which should make him a mobile albeit tall player. However, the feeling of the ball at the foot is often very random and unattractive to us. Worse, his finesse shots should be excellent but our success ratio with him has been relatively limited. However, his presence on the field is felt and his passing game is excellent, allowing him to be positioned in MC / MOC without any problem. Therefore, we consider that its price is far too high but we can understand that it is effective in other hands.

Recommended Style: Engine or Eagle Eye

Best Position: MOC

Marco Reus FUT Captains, Borussia Dortmund, Bundesliga

Seeing this leaked card, we immediately thought of his FUT Birthday version of FIFA 21, one of the best attackers we had played with in the game until the arrival of the TOTS. However, we were quite disappointed using Reus this year. While it seemed to have all the tools to be an excellent MOC/BU, in fact it was not very effective offensively speaking… At the start, we had thought of using the Eye of the lynx style to bombard from a distance. After multiple bars and posts but more importantly, a relatively heavy feeling of the map, the Motor style emerged as a better option. From then on, we end up with a good creator MOC who will be there to distribute more than to score, a bit of a shame given the traits and stats of the card.

Recommended Style: Engine or Eagle Eye

Best Position: MOC

Honorable mentions : Dimitri Payet TOTS (League 1), Memphis Depay RTTF (LaLiga), Josip Ilicic RTTF (Serie A), Florin Tanase TOTS (Romania), Alexis Sanchez RTTF (Serie A), Gonzalo Ramos FS (League No), Ianis Hagi FS (SPFL), Karim Benzema TOTY MH (La Liga), Memphis Depay OTW (La League), Roberto Firmino TOTW (Premier League), Josip Ilicic TOTW (Serie A).

The best strikers in BU of FIFA 22

An extremely endowed position on FIFA, the BUs are generally aligned at the forefront but some cards are also illustrated on the wings or even in the MOC.

Kylian Mbappé TOTS/TOTY, PSG, Ligue 1

Although other cards like Ronaldo TOTS/TOTY or Dembélé Fantasy FUT could on paper compete with Mbappé, the strength of the French player on the game lies in his ease of handling. Thus, anyone will be able to enjoy Mbappé on FIFA 22 while Ronaldo's unique physique makes him less mobile for those who do not know how to use technical gestures. Therefore, with a fairly unique combo of speed, shooting, agility and strength in play, Kylian Mbappé is indeed the absolute weapon on FIFA 22. Especially since the unique physics of the card tends to make it "bug" on certain movements and duels. Note that the TOTW 3, POTM, Vedettes and of course TOTY versions (despite its price) are still totally Meta.

Mbappé's TOTS card.

Recommended Style: Sniper

Best position: BU

David Ginola FUT Heroes Makeover, Premier League

It took us some time before we could test this new version of Ginola. Fan of the FUT Heroes from the start of FIFA 22, this shapeshifter is clearly one of the best attacking cards in the game. However, his rather sturdy physique makes him quite difficult to use at times. Thus, like a CR7, Ginola will be monstrous in some hands and much less effective in others, which explains why we prefer Mbappé to him. In addition, he must be used in pivot mode in front, to take advantage of his physique, which somewhat limits his versatility depending on your training. A few small details but that make the difference, especially given its price.

Recommended Style: Finisher

Best position: BU

Antonio Di Natale, Captains FUT Heroes, Serie A

Di Natale in front of CR7 TOTY? Yes, we were so thrilled by Di Natale that he became our favorite in BU. Better, he eclipsed Mbappé POTM in our training during our test. The reasons are simple, the card is amazing. Small and therefore very agile, fast, effective in front of goal but physically enough to play in BU, the Italian is quite simply one of the best forwards in FIFA 22, all positions combined. Although limited by the ties, the possibility of surrounding it with Serie A TOTS cards reinforces its interest in our eyes. A real marvel even if you don't use the technical gestures a lot.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU

His Metamorphosed, Tottenham, Premier League

Like a Ronaldo (R9 and CR7), Son's unique physique is often a big obstacle for some FIFA players. Indeed, the Korean has a somewhat rigid side due to this physique, which limits his interest (hence his position behind Di Natale) if you prefer to make the difference with the left stick rather than technical gestures. Beyond this limit, Son Metamorphosés is incredible: fast, powerful, effective on all shots (even from a distance) and with a 5-5 in stars he is able to play everywhere. So if you like Son, this new version will probably be one of the best forwards in FIFA 22, if not the best…

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU

Cristiano Ronaldo TOTS ou TOTY, Manchester United, Premier League

Cristiano Ronaldo is a truly unique card in FIFA: his animations are customized, as is his physique, which makes him very special and difficult to assess stat-wise. Although a bit heavy and sometimes clunky on its Gold and TOTW version controls, the TOTS and TOTY versions of CR7 are absolutely brilliant. Even if you don't like strong BUs too much, Ronaldo has such a powerful finish that players will quickly fall for it. Note that its POTM 94 version is absolutely playable and very fun to play considering its price, although a little more difficult to handle than the TOTS and TOTY versions.

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU

Marcelo Metamorphosed, Real Madrid, La Liga

Probably the hardest card to evaluate during this Shapeshifted event, Marcelo SS is something of a Swiss army knife. Agile, fast, powerful, good shooter, good defender, the Brazilian player knows how to do everything. Lined up as a BU, we found his style of play to be a bit strange for a BU although his efficiency was there. It must be said that we are used to playing with him in defense or even in MC (the FUT Captain card), so it happened more than once that the veteran was manually replaced in defense by mistake. To put it simply, Marcelo can do everything and will be one of the best forwards in FIFA 22 if you want to use him offensively. However, his weak defensive performance will limit him a little if you play him in DG or DD (5 stars of weak foot) and placing him in MDC would be a waste.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Anchor

Best position: MC rising, MOC or BU

Wissam Ben Yedder TOTS, AS Monaco, Ligue 1

The rat-king continues to dominate on FUT! After a Big Recruits version then POTM and in FUT Captain, the AS Monaco BU is back with a TOTS version. Well let's be clear, we say it all the time but Ben Yedder is the prototype of the BU on FIFA 22 with 4-5 in stars, outside of the foot in characteristic and an excellent combo of speed and agility. Thus, we were not surprised to find our automatisms on this card which honestly rivals the best attackers in FIFA 22, especially if you don't spam elastico. Note that if his FUT Captain was already strong on distance shots (via the outside of the foot), this TOTS is even better at this level. Especially since the link level you will be delighted, with Tchouaméni (perfect link) but also a wide range of special French and Ligue 1 cards.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU

Ousmane Dembele Fantasy FUT, FC Barcelona, La Liga

Rather than listing everything we liked about the Ousmane Démbélé Fantasy FUT card, we'll tell you what we didn't like too much. First of all, for this price, the lack of line is clearly a big black point of the card. While he doesn't need finesse and off-foot shooting to be great in play, those two traits would add a bit more versatility to the card. In addition, his lack of physicality will be a problem for some FIFA 22 players. However, these two points are not enough to push Dembélé back in this ranking of the best forwards in FIFA 22 since the latter is capable of doing everything well in front.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Cannoneer

Best position: BU, MOC or AD

Allan Saint-Maximin Fantasy FUT, Newcastle, Premier League

Honestly, it was more difficult to place Saint-Maximin in this ranking than to buy the card on the market when it was released... So, in game, Saint-Max is nice but it will not be suitable for all players: its physical in-game is strong, which sometimes limits his moves. If you are the type to go straight ahead, no fear, its strength will be a plus. On the other hand, more technical players will be surprised by some slightly strange animations... We are therefore on a slightly strange map, absolutely incredible at times but sometimes frustrating. Given its price, we remained unsatisfied and the possible upgrades do not seem to be able to change that.

Recommended Style: Gunner

Best position: BU or AG

Neymar Jr Winter Wildcards, PSG, Ligue 1

If Neymar Jr is present in our list of wingers, we offer a second version of Neymar in our list with here the Winter Wildcards card. In our opinion, Neymar Jr is one of the very best BUs in FIFA 22 if you know how to use him correctly. However, it is a weakness for this card compared to a Mbappé which will be effective in all hands. It must be said that if Neymar Jr has excellent offensive stats, his physique is more limited than the BU Meta, forcing the use of dribbling to make the difference. Fortunately, the Brazilian player is extremely skilful in his technical gestures with personalized animations and a unique feeling on FIFA. Note that if some play Neymar in MOC, we consider that his 5-5 in stars will be a hit in front.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Vista

Best position: BU

Angel Correa Moments, Atlético Madrid, La Liga

Angel Correa was a very special card this year on FIFA 22 since he had one of the best attacking AI among the attackers in the game. So even in the Gold version, he was really effective on his calls and his attacking positioning. From then on, one would have thought that this Moments version was really going to be one of the very best BUs in the game. However, something seems to have disappeared in Angel Correa. Accurate but less automatic, well placed but not as interesting in his calls, the Argentinian player left us unsatisfied… But beware, our disappointment is linked to the fact that his old versions were really incredible! Thus, he remains a very very good BU, with in particular a 4-5 in stars and good stats.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU

Tammy Abraham FUTTIES, AS Roma, Serie A

After a great FUT Birthday card, Tammy Abraham is back with an equally strong FUTTIES version. We are not going to cut corners, for us, Abraham is an incredible pivot, to use on the aerial game. So, if you are used to players who are quite powerful and tall in the box, the Englishman will be an excellent choice. However, this strength is also the main limit of this card since its physical will not make it as agile as a Chiesa or Insigne card.

Recommended Style: Finisher

Best position: BU

Hirving Lozano Metamorphosed, Napoli, Serie A

If you're used to playing with Lozano beware, this card is much closer to a Ben Yedder than the traditional rocket we're used to. Very agile and responsive, the player from Naples is a real pleasure to handle with the left stick. With a 4-5 in stars, an ideal physique in play, outside of the foot and very good offensive stats, Lozano is an almost ideal striker for FIFA 22. However, his lack of strength limits him a little in the box, since he will lose some of his duels against very powerful DCs. Besides, his ties are quite complicated, forcing part of the squad to evolve within Serie A.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: BU, AG or AD

Alexandre Pato FUTTIES, Orlando, MLS

So let's be very clear, for us, Alexandre Pato FUTTIES is not one of the best strikers or BU in FIFA 22 despite having very good stats. The Brazilian player seemed relatively generic to us, a good card as we have been able to test hundreds this year. However, that does not mean that he is a bad player, but his attacking position was nothing special, just like his ball touch. However, we also know that quite a few players have had great success with him. Thus, we have no problem placing it in our ranking, although it is considered that there are quite a few superior alternatives.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer or Eagle Eye

Best position: BU

Luis Suarez ALL, Atlético Madrid, La Liga

Ironically enough, we said here that Atlético Madrid was entitled to a hell of a treatment from EA on FIFA 22 as the club chained the special Meta cards. A few weeks later and here is Luis Suarez getting an even better card than his FUT Birthday! Faster, stronger, more precise but still a little heavy to use, Suarez is the very example of the BU who knows how to elbow in boxing. Note that we also appreciated his FUT Birthday in MOC and that, during our test, his passing game was also up to par. A very good map as long as you like fairly strong forwards in FIFA 22.

Recommended Style: Motor

Best position: BU or even MOC

Sadio Mané RTTF, Liverpool, Premier League

Although his card is a MOC, Sadio Mané is listed here because his true position is in BU although he is able to play in MOC or AG, especially with Vista in style. With stats close to perfection for an attacker, Mané is clearly one of the best cards in this RTTF promo and potentially in FIFA 22. If we regret that he is not 5-4 or 4-5 in stars and his lack of interesting traits, the Liverpool player will delight all styles of players. Especially since the Reds can still win the competition.

Style: Vista, Gunner or Finisher

Best position: BU or even MOC or AG

Stephan El Shaarawy Metamorphosed, Roma, Serie A

Connoisseurs know that the Italian player is a real treat in game. Good in his special versions last year, El Shaarawy is back with the usual package: 5-4 in stars, an ideal physique in game, great agility and an excellent shot. You know we love nimble players and El Shaarawy falls into exactly the style we love: a fast player, who reacts quickly with the ball and remains effective in front of goal. Although some points bother us a little given his overall rating (his speed, his physicality and even his responsiveness at times), this card remains one of the best attackers in FIFA 22, especially at this price level.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer or Eagle Eye

Best position: BU, MOC or AG

Julian Alvarez TOTGS, River Plate, Conmebol

A card that has caused a lot of ink to flow on the networks, Julian Alvarez TOTGS seems incredible at first glance. However, we found the Argentinian BU very generic. Is he good ? Yes. Is it worth the million as it came out? Absolutely not. Is he better than a Mbappé 94? Neither. Alvarez is a good BU, similar to a Ben Yedder, with a rather small physique allowing him to be very agile and mobile. However, its weak foot is a bit limited (despite the 4 stars) with more misfires than we would like at this price level.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: BU

Alexandre Lacazette FDE, Arsenal, Premier League

At first sight, Lacazette FDE seems monstrous: physique, complete stats and 4-4 stars. However, the French player is a bit sluggish in play with a heavy and beefy side that looks a bit (badly) like Fekir. Thus, in pure BU, Lacazette will only be interesting if you are used to cards of the genre (Immobile, Lewandowski or Martial). However, these players usually have better traits or 5 weak foot stars, two points missing from the former Gunner. We are therefore more on a specific player, potentially present in your formation for a question of links, than on a card which will remain in your club for a long time.

Recommended Style: Engine or Eagle Eye

Best position: BU

Abedi Pelé Captains FUT Heroes, Ligue 1

An excellent card at the start of the season in its basic version, Abedi Pelé Captains FUT Heroes is in the same line as the first: a versatile card, able to do everything even if it does not excel in anything. Thus, Pelé will be both a BU for some and a MOC for others since his stats are good in both cases. However, if we really enjoyed playing with this new version, the lack of traits and the 4-4 in stars make this card almost generic (for a special Meta card) for a pre-TOTS period.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye, Gunner or even Vista.

Best position: BU or MOC

Robbie Keane Captains FUT Heroes, Premier League

One of our favorite cards at the start of the FUT season, Robbie Keane is back with an improved version. With a good dribbling boost, weak foot improvement (5 WF now) and overall buffs, Keane once again becomes one of the best strikers in FIFA 22. Still, our feeling about this map is unlikely to be shared by everyone, in particular because of his rather average physique in game. Therefore, the Motor style could facilitate his handling by improving his agility.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Motor

Best position: BU or MOC

Zlatan Ibrahimovic Winter Wildcards, Milan AC, Serie A

The Swedish R9 is here! Zlatan finally got a real nice special card after several years of waiting for his fans. EA did not play the small arms for the blow with an incredible upgrade, making one of the very best attackers in FIFA 22. With 5-4 in stars, outside of the foot and the unique physique of Ibrahimovic, the card is already exceptional. But the buff didn't forget the importance of stats like balance or dribbling composure (usually the weakness of big and powerful BUs on FUT), leaving Zlatan with no real flaws... The main limitation being the links, forcing the players to invest in Serie A cards like Théo Hernandez, Tonali TOTS or Kessié FB.

Recommended Style: Motor or Hunter

Best position: BU

Richarlison Metamorphosed, Everton, Premier League

As he plays for a new club next season, Richarlison got a new special card on FIFA 22. an agile physique. However, there we would hope to have the best of both worlds, Richarlison is rather a victim of the vagaries of EA servers: one day it will be agile, the next day a little heavy. Thus, we enjoyed playing with him during our first session then much less during the second. However, he is a real surface fox with, as a bonus, an excellent heading game.

Recommended Style: Finisher, Cannoneer or even Basic.

Best position: BU

Alphonso Davies Metamorphosed, Bayern Munich, Bundesliga

A card that we absolutely wanted to mention here (even if it will surely be pushed into honorable mentions rather quickly), Alphonso Davies Transformed is a very interesting option on FIFA 22. Due to his physique and stats, the Canadian player is very nimble, making it a playable card just about anywhere. If his low performance in defense will limit him for positions like MDC (DG with the right instructions seems playable), he is very strong in MC which rises but also in BU in the right conditions. So, even if he lacks a bit of offensive traits to justify a place in a very Meta XI, Davies will be a good striker.

Recommended Style: Cannoneer

Best position: MC going up or even BU

Ciro Immobile ALL, Lazio, ALL

As often on FIFA, Immobile obtained a plethora of special cards during the season. However, none was really playable before this TOTS version. With 4-5 stars, a big boost in agility and shooting, Immobile turns into an excellent BU. Although a little heavy, the Italian is really excellent in front of goal, especially as his physique compensates for his lack of responsiveness to the ball (despite good stats). So, Immobile TOTS is one of the best forwards in FIFA 22 if you're looking for some sort of pivot, to link up with another more nimble forward.

Recommended Style: Engine

Best position: BU

Ferran Torres Future Stars, FC Barcelona, La Liga

What a surprise ! While we were waiting for a decent map via DCE, EA surprised everyone with an amazing map via the mini-release. If for some Torres could seem generic, let us explain to you how it is one of the best cards of attackers of FIFA 22. The FC Barcelona player has an ideal physique in play (very agile and reactive), 4-4 in stars and absolutely complete stats for a BU. Thus, Torres stands out as an ideal Goalscorer who looks more like a TOTS version than an early February card. A kind of Ansu Fati for Future Stars on FIFA 21.

Recommended Style: Lynx Eye

Best position: BU

Diego Militao Captains FUT Heroes, La Liga

Warning Banger! Diego Militao has become extremely playable following a major boost to his FUT Heroes Captains version. Now powerful, fast and quite agile, the Argentinian is extremely comparable to another card that we like: Fekir FUT Birthday. Given his in-game physics, we recommend playing him with Motor if you don't like a bit beefy player. Because without being heavy like Lewandowski or Weghorst, Militao (like Fekir) sometimes tends to suffer in terms of maneuverability. The advantage is that this style makes it particularly effective in MOC, a versatility that we appreciate a lot on FUT.

Recommended Style: Eagle Eye or Motor

Best position: BU or MOC

Robert Lewandowski TOTY/TOTS, Bayern Munich, Bundesliga

As with his TOTY version, Robert Lewandowski TOTS is clearly not our style of BU. If the boost in 4-5 is interesting, the Polish player loses slightly in stats everywhere else compared to his TOTY. Thus, the result is, in our opinion, essentially the same: a card that is a bit heavy (depending on the gameplay and the servers), but effective in front of goal. Therefore, it all depends on your playing habits: if you play with CR7 or Modeste BUs, Lewandowski will be a good choice. Conversely, don't really plan on having fun with him if you're used to playing with Sterling, Chiesa or Ben Yedder...

Recommended Style: Engine

Best position: BU

Darwin Nunez TOTS, Benfica, Liga NOS

The R9 of the Liga NOS! Yes, that's the nickname some gave to Darwin Nunez as his combo of speed, physique and shooting resembled the legendary Brazilian. In fact, Nunez TOTS is clearly not as good as the Icon: his speed is far from being as good as expected, as is his agility. Without saying that Nunez is heavy, the latter is much closer to a Lewandowski than to a Mbappé. However, his power shots are incredible and his physique will make the difference in the box. A very good pivot but a much less attractive card than expected. Also note a relatively limited versatility (because of his passing stats) and difficult links, which explains his position in our ranking.
